The summer of 2009 will always be remembered for the incredible losses of numerous celebrities. DJ AM was discovered dead by police after a friend knocked at his door and received no answer, the DJ had reportedly hadn't contacted anyone in several days. Here's the developing story from Rolling Stone:

The New York Post reports that drug paraphernalia was found in the musician’s Lafayette Street apartment. Goldstein spoke openly about his past struggles with drug and food addiction, telling Glamour in a revealing interview that he started freebasing cocaine when he was 20 years old. “For the next four years, that’s about all I did — with the exception of deejaying, which I’d been obsessed with ever since I saw Herbie Hancock do the song ‘Rockit’ at the Grammy Awards,” he told the magazine.

Almost exactly one year ago, Goldstein narrowly survived a Learjet crash that claimed the lives of the two pilots and two passengers. Barker recalled the harrowing moments during the pair’s escape in a recent Rolling Stone profile: “I was lying next to AM as the plane was exploding, and I was screaming, ‘Are we alive?’ ”

For a while, Lupe Fiasco had fans thinking he planned on releasing a third and final album entitled LupEND and move on to greener pastures. But earlier this summer, Lupe scrapped the retirement indefinitely (big surprise?) and began working on a new album called We Are Lasers. Recently during an overseas interview Lupe revealed a little bit more about the project, check it out:

"I feel like, 'cause of my first two albums, that now I have the foundation to just branch off and just do not really crazy [music] or whatever I want, but just make music outside of who I normally make music for," Lupe said referring to his upcoming album. "I feel like I have my true fans, my hardcore fans down, locked down, and now I can kinda experiment with other types of music and it's really good. It's my favorite album thus far."

Here's the video of the actual interview if you want to hear a few more questions regarding hip hop and politics.

Yesterday morning a promotional poster for Eminem's upcoming album "Relapse 2" was spotted on Amazon.com. Given that the huge online retailer is known for leaking hot info every now and then, bloggers took the news as fact and the news spread like wildfire. However, Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg spoke to XXL magazine and put an end to the rumors.

XXLMag.com has learned otherwise. According to Em’s longtime manager and business associate Paul Rosenberg, there is no truth to the November 17 date whatsoever, despite the fact that amazon.com has it posted on its website.

Earlier this year, Eminem hinted that Relapse 2 would indeed be in stores in late 2009, but we should all know that the wishes of the artists and the wishes of the record companies don't always match up.

As of press time there is no official date for Relapse 2.

LONDON – Beatles fans mobbed London's Abbey Road on the 40th anniversary of the famous photo that turned this ordinary London street into a musical pilgrimage site.

Hundreds of fans swarmed the site Saturday morning, bringing traffic to a standstill.

Abbey Road cuts through the swish north London neighborhood of St. John's Wood and is where the Fab Four recorded much of their work.

It became a part of music history after the Beatles were featured on the cover of the eponymous album walking on the street's crosswalk.

Tourists flock to the site every day to recreate the iconic scene, much to the annoyance of locals.

Below you can catch a video uploaded today that illustrates just how packed the famous intersection was with hardcore Beatles fans along with members of the press.

Just one day before her birthday, and just weeks before Dallas Cowboys training camp starts, sounds like a business decision to me. With Terrell Owens gone Romo doesnt have any more excuses not to win.

According to several online reports, Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo have split up. Sources said the split happened on Thursday, a day before Simpson's 29th birthday.

"She is heartbroken," a source told People.com. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show ['The Price of Beauty,' for VH1]. They decided to part ways."

When asked for confirmation by MTV News, a rep for Simpson would neither confirm nor deny the reports, saying, "We don't comment on our clients' personal lives."

People.com also reported that on Simpson's birthday, Romo was seen partying at Los Angeles nightclub My House. "He had quite a few girls stop by his dance floor table," another source told the site. "Romo was sipping Grey Goose and having a fun time with the boys."

UsMagazine.com also reported that the couple have split, citing a source as saying, "It's been a long time coming." An additional source told the site that the couple could reunite at any time. "They go from one fight right into another, without a second's break. It's always something with Jessica."

I knew Lady Gaga was popular but I didnt know she had this many fans.

Lady GaGa becomes just the third artist in the 16-year history of the Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart to collect three No. 1 songs from a debut album. "LoveGame" (Interscope) rises 2-1, marking Lady GaGa's third No. 1, following "Just Dance" (two weeks) and "Poker Face" (five weeks). The three songs appear on her top five Billboard 200 album, "The Fame." The set has sold 1,162,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
